Garth Everett, a native of Montoursville, received his undergraduate degree in Business from Smeal College of Business at the Pennsylvania State University. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant and served in the Air Force for twenty years before retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. While in the Air Force he obtained a Masters Degree in Business Management from the Troy State University and attended Air Command & Staff College. He earned his law degree from the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University.

Garth serves as counsel to the Borough of Montoursville and Muncy Township. Garth has developed considerable expertise in representing school districts in student disciplinary matters.

Garth is a member of the Lycoming Law Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He is licensed to practice in all courts in Pennsylvania and in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. In 2006, Garth was elected to the House of Representatives for the 84th House District in Lycoming County. He is currently serving his 3rd term.
